Deuteronomy 11:18-19

18 Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 19 Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

First Snow Man Of The Year!

E made this little man one day and half a dozen others the next. Even a very cute snow baby as S. Tucker thought they were cute too.. and jumped all over them with his big doggy feet until there was nothing left..

E's is disappointed but not deterred. She says she'll try again later.. when Tuckers had some more time to get used to snow again.

A Pile Of Toys..

A Visit With B&B.

S and Mrs.B She loved to snuggle him.

S and Mr. B. S is named after Mr.B and another friend of ours.
So it was quite special that they got to meet.
Hopefully someday he'll meet the other guy he's named after..
Yes Mr. B H that was a HINT!!! :)

The did quite a bit of this.. See Mr. B?? He's got a gray shirt on..

At one point Papa was on one side of the living room and Mr. B on the other and poor J stretched out between them with little G tickling him :) It was a BLAST!!

G wasn't too sure about all this noise and tickling. She mostly stayed out of it.

Or snuggled with Mrs. B... One of the woman G is named after :)

We had a very special visit with these two wonderful people recently. We all had a blast, wrestling, cooking together, and all the fun things we missed doing with them. Like Papa would say.. Beer drinking and BBQ.

We miss you guys.. Come back soon ya hear?

New Drying Racks.

Papa got me a couple of these to replace my old and newly broken drying racks. I LOVE them. They are awesome, they hold tons of laundry and they are sturdy and not at all tippy.

Sometimes it truly is the little things.

Two New S Pictures, 4.5 Months.

He was sucking on the nose of this teddy and the kids thought it was HILARIOUS!!

So they took a picture :)

Smiling S!
He is now 4.5 months old and 13.5lbs.

Grandma offered to come and teach the kids how to oil paint.. Bob Ross style!!
Here she is in what she calls 'my bossy pose' lol. She was explaining the first step!

Here are the paintings after several steps.

I love how each one is different!

Several steps later...

And 5 hours later they were DONE!!

Well the kids paintings were done,
Grandma got so busy helping she missed a few steps in hers!

CORN!!

We bought a couple of boxes of localish corn, around Billy's pond,
and friends of ours picked it up in the city for us and we ate like kings for a few days :)

We also decided to do an experiment and  freeze some.
No blanching.
Just cut it off the cob and freeze in bags.
We did it team work style!!

The kids shucked it, G (picture above) brought it to me and I cut the kernels off and bagged it.

So far we have had to limit ourselves HUGELY as this is the best corn EVER, besides fresh on the cob, and we are already making plans to do TONS more next year!!

In other words.. it was a HUGE success and we are loving it :)

Oh and if you were wondering, this is a catch up story, these pictures were taken Sept 16th :)

Boys... Need Tools...

Papa decided it was time for these two to start helping out around the place :)

(Anyone who knows us know these two boys are already a BIG help on this homestead!! )

But he had a bunch of nails that needed pulling out of some 2x4's and he knew these two would be up to the job (they love working with tools anytime!!) and they were! But first they needed the right tools for the job!!
