Deuteronomy 11:18-19

18 Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 19 Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Deuteronomy 11:18-19

New International Version (NIV)

R~Updated Sept 12~

R 'driving' the new travelall :)

She surprises me in many ways. Still a girls girl she lugs her baby around, sometimes by the body!, talking, feeding, napping and changing it's bum as necessary but she gets down and dirty with J3 or any of the other kids in the sand box, pool, rocks or dirt. Sometimes she's the dirtiest one of them all. She loves to dress up and have her hair 'done' with 'the good smelling stuff from Grandma and Grandpa G.' She totally loves riding her tricycle up and down the driveway, while J3 pushes from behind or,  just by herself. She still loves school work and we had to disappoint her this year as she is still too young to 'technically do kindergarten' but we are still doing the work books with her. Next year she will be 5 and will go right to Grade 1. Maybe :) She's a pretty happy go lucky kind of kid and loves to follow the others in their made up games. Almost always she is 'the princess.' We often hear.. SAVE THE PRINCESS... I'M THE PRINCESS!!!

R is still little in size and if you've read J3's page you'll know they share the same shoe size and pant size and they both weigh in at 30 lbs. She is several inches taller then him though and she talks a whole lot more!! You can brush her hair ten times a day and it still sticks up in the back by her neck. She eats more now and has finally mostly stopped her sucking on food habit.  She enjoys trying new foods, unlike E and L, and will try almost anything once. She's happy, healthy and growing though and that is what matters. Besides she's the spitting image of her Auntie R at that age... and Auntie is a wonderful short person :)

R is still a little girly girl. She loves to be the center of attention but will share :) She wears the most outrageous clothes combinations but some how they work. I have a feeling she will be our diva! She wants to do school so badly that we keep her stocked up with 'busy work' books of matching or coloring, mazes or seek and finds so that she can 'do school' at the table while the older kids are doing school. She normally does 'school' for between 30 and 45 minutes. She understands more then I thought she would and is constantly surprising me with how much she knows and remembers. She is great help, putting forks or cups on the table, putting away silverware, wiping spots off the floor, playing with J3. She can get herself dressed to go outside in this cold weather and loves to go out with the other kids. She still gets cold quickly (due, we think, to her lack of body fat) and normally comes in early because she's cold or just to warm up before heading out to play again.

Rose turned 3 this spring and is very much into princesses, horses and babies. She is still tiny but is slowly growing into E's too small clothes. They share quite a bit of their clothes now and it's neat to see what things they will put together next. She very much dislikes getting dirty and prefers to wear gloves outside so that her hands aren't dirty. She no longer wears a bib at the table because she is one of our cleanest, if slowest, eaters. She can now open most of the doors in the house except the bathroom door which sticks a bit and the front door. She loves to be helpful and will run around all day doing things like putting garbage in the can, laundry in the right basket, toys here or there, even jars in the pantry. She is getting to be quite the tease and the other day I was on the couch reading and she came up and tickled me! She's learning the play with Baby J as this fall it will only be the two of them in the living room while the rest of us 'do' school for several hours a day. Prepared is something we like to be. She loves to have her hair 'done' which is nice as her hair is a bit wild if we just let it be.

Rose is now 33 months old (so 2 years and 9 months :) , completely toilet trained (J, L, and R trained her in about 10 days right after her 2nd birthday. I did help a tiny bit), talkative, playful and sassy! She's the little mother in the bunch and plays 'people' with everything from crayons to rocks. There is normally a momma, papa and baby and she plays with them for hours! Rose is still very small for her age group at only 23lbs but she is perfectly healthy in every way and equal to, or past, others in her age group in everything else. She's really enjoying Christmas this year. Rose and Emmaline are almost inseparable. She loves to dance, help with everything and get her own way! She just figured out how to turn the water on in the bathroom (she has to climb on the counter to do it) and is enjoying the freedom of being able to wash herself. She is very much a sweet little girl who, like most sweet little girls, has learned that a smile and a little flirting can get you quite far in life :)
