Porch Be Gone

Papa and I had a couple hours last evening so we decided to move the front porch, it needs to be out if the way to pull the trailer out and to build stairs into the house's kitchen; which could happen as early as today. We plan on storing straw bales on the porch now as we can attach the tarp, to cover them, right to the wood. The porch was slowly falling over so when it does fall over we won't be too surprised and will deal with it then.

I bet your wondering what we did with all those freezers and Papa's beer fridge?

Fits quite nicely but it does mean no parking in the carport.

Here it is moving out, completely off the ground!

Easter Crosses

Snow April 18th.

Just 5 short days after THIS... a couple days of rain and sun really melt that snow away!! The ground is still frozen so all that water is running down hill or sitting in puddles.

It was pretty spectacular. We watched it from our bedroom window with J, L and E. Papa running outside several times to take pictures.

Tamworth Boar 2014

The natural name for him is Big Red. He stands taller then our sows and has obvious tusks. His hair is super curly and yesterday I said he was probably the ugliest pig I've ever seen. This morning he looks quite a bit better. He's not a foody or a fighter so far. He should make super cute piglets, and, as always, I'll be happy to see him go when he's done his job. Boars are not pets and I'll be nervous until he goes. Thankfully he has been well electric fence trained and the sow pen is farther from the house then has ever been before.

S is 9 months :)

I'm a NINJA!!

Um.. Mom? E tied a car and a ELEPHANT to my back!!!

Is that OK??

I am a SUPER CUTE baby.. and I have a tooth :)

S is 9 months old, eating solid everything (except cows milk, nuts and honey), he sleeps from 9pm to 8am almost every night. He love his siblings, they entertain him all the time :) He loves bacon and chilli and will only eat pancakes if you put syrup on them. He loves ketchup on just about anything and seems to enjoy the way his crackers break on the floor when he throws them! He waves goodnight and bye bye, he gives nice open mouth baby kisses, and signs 'please' if you catch him desperate enough. He drinks quite nicely from a cup and loves to cruse, stand and climb up on things. He recently got 'high centered' at Grandma's house on a stool and even got him self off! He can go up and down a stair or two and is a very happy little man!!
