P.E. Outside today consisted of laps with the bike and running up and down the driveway and some fun soccer! We are about a month ahead in snow melt and spring growing! Yay! Beautiful day!
The Bible calls debt a curse and children a blessing. But in our culture we apply for a curse and reject blessings. Something is wrong with this picture.

Deuteronomy 11:18-19
18 Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 19 Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Thankful Thursday.
So I'm siting at the kitchen table, tapping this out, munching on a granola bar and watching the sun rise. Yes, it's 8:22 and the sun, here, is just rising. Pretty isn't it.
The funny lights in the top one is from our Christmas lights in the living room reflecting in the window.
R, a great friend of mine, could tell you how much I love to watch sunsets. Sometimes on our little girls nights out we've driven quite out of the way just for a good view of the sunset. Once we even got a call from her worried husband who happened to be tracking her phone. Opps. But this morning I'm watching the sun rise from my kitchen table. This is huge. I had no idea I could see it rise from inside my house. Maybe it's the time of year? Like the sunsets we see rarely in the fall when the days are just the right length? I'm hoping not. I'm hoping that I've just been sleeping in and missing them and it's not some weird sun directional thing like the falls sunsets.

Thankful Thursday
Wow it's been ages since I wrote a Thankful Thursday post!
Today I'm thankful for
- my crew and crew master: Papa and kids.
- several really good nights of sleep.
- my kidneys seem to have decided to behave themselves for a bit :)
- beautiful sunshine
- little kid snuggles. One of the best parts of my day.
- S and his love for cows.
- J3's energy and enthusiasm. If only I could soak some of it in!
- the Internet and everything that's now available in our homes.
- little girls who love to do hair and who are getting quite good at it.
- friends who encourage.
- baby T's thumping through my belly. He hit the ultrasound wand so hard the other day it bounced!
- my maids, dishwasher, washer, dryer, coffee maker, oven, milking machine :)
And the last and slightly 'off' one: the dogs. I've got a love/hate relationship with them at the moment. I love that I almost always know when someone drives up, an animal is out, or someone is walking on the road. I hate that Tucker try's to climb into vans and that Chip is cranky. They've taken to fighting over a coveted sleep spot sometimes several times a day. Bonus Chip is losing weight :) which is probably why he's cranky.

Thursday Afternoon Ramble
I had to think pretty hard to figure out what day it was just now which should tell you what kind of week we are having....BUSY BUSY.
But right now it's quiet in here, kids are having a picnic on the trampoline, Papa had to run to town and S is asleep, so I'm taking 5 minutes to myself with a cuppa joe, and letting the vit E soak into my hands. I have one non sticky finger to finger type with.
L and E just finished Grade 3!!!! Yay! J has chosen to finish tomorrow. He has to record a puppet show yet :)
Our trench for the electrical and water line will be dug this afternoon and we are also getting a load of sand today.
This morning we cleaned house as 4 days is too long to leave it and Tuesday I was on the couch with a fever, mastitis I'm pretty sure, and the housework did not get done.
Yesterday we spent in the city almost doubling our money spent on house this spring. OUCH! But it was a good thing all around. We got a lot of stuff! Lots of it goes into this trench project...I can honestly say I was still recovering from the day before and I really am unsure what it was he all got. Hot water set up and bathroom fans system I do know. Electrical pole stuff and cable. We, just Papa, S and I are going back tomorrow to pick countertops/ sinks etc for kitchen and bathrooms. The kids are staying home with Mrs. M. and will have a blast I'm sure!
Monday Papa worked and I painted some more floors and stained some walls.
There now your caught up on the week. Tonight I have Bible study and Papa may take the kids to go get a load of bales or he might still be doing trench things. Last night when we talked about it the trench was still being dug in the morning, now it's been pushed to afternoon so who knows.
I will say it takes a long time to type with one finger!! Lol.
So I'm thankful for: Feeling better :) Money spent :) Trench day :) School almost 100% done :) S's new tooth :) Mrs. M and her persistence :) A clean house :) Busy days :) Bible study :)
And my odd one of the day is candles... Why is that odd you ask?
Last winter our orange male cat got caught in the engine compartment of the truck, got hurt badly and raced under the house before we could do anything about it. Hasn't been seen since. Unfortunately we can now smell him. Gag. It's really nasty in the kids room. It took us a few days to figure it out. Papa went looking but can't find it! He says it must be up inside the floor! Gag. Days aren't as bad as nights and I lit a yummy vanilla candle in the morning to rid the house of the smell. Gag. Nasty hey!? I can't wait to get out of this trailer!!
Anyway my finger is screaming enough already at me!
Hope the day goes well for you.
Hope the sun shines on your head.
Hope your world smells better, much better!, then mine ;)

Thankful Thursday
Today I'm thankful for:
Firewood, it keeps us warm, it keeps kids busy and helps with their energy energy energy, and we have enough of it.
Sleep. I got 8 hours last night...with only one wake up at 2 am which I think I mostly slept thru.. Papa was sitting in granny's rocker and he said I was a bit asleep.. I was checking the fire if you must know and didn't know he was home. At least he has sense enough, now, to turn the lights on!
Skinny chocolate. I'm doing the THM (Trim Healthy Mama) eating plan, lost 3 lbs so far (and I never lose while breast feeding!) and I made skinny chocolate for the first time last night! Yum!
Homeschooling. I love having my kids home with me.
R, C, A, L and S. Love you ladies! Roxanne and her reminder of the glad game! I'm glad I have wonderful people in my life who show me how to be godly by example.
Giggles, I stomped my feet at G today, boom boom, and she throws a look over her shoulder giggling like mad while I chase her through the house, catching her and tickling her when she flung herself on to the couch. S finished nursing just now and giggled at me in anticipation when I held my hand over his chest! Giggles abounded when I tickled him.
What are you thankful for today?
